Hybrid quantum systems
It is likely that practical implementations of quantum systems will consist of hybrid quantum components. Trapped ions are excellent sources of quantum information and may be interfaced with other quantum systems such as neutral atoms, to establish a hybrid quantum platform exploiting advantages of each constituent system. Our work aims to explore these new types of platforms and develop new hybrid quantum technologies.
